I'd check the filesize on disk. From these log message it looks like its zero bytes long, and will have problems playing it.

Also worth trying the same thing locally on the server (ie, live tv with live preview mode disabled)

I meant look at the live tv direct to see how big the live tv file was. "E:\Live TV Buffer\Unbreakable (2000)_4_20080806_00100215.mpg" in this case.

Yes, unticking it will force the server to use timeshift mode, just the same as live tv from a client would.

Server now in Timeshift mode

File size of LiveTV capture from PC client is 2KB! LiveTV on server lots of MB and growing. Also from MVP Client no problem. So why just PC Client problem?

Cheers

To be honest, I dont know. Doing it from a client PC is exactly the same as using on the server in timeshift mode, or from a MVP. If its only 2KB, then its probably something to do with the device failing to lock a signal for some reason, causing the data not to be delivered to the file.

Although it's unlikely to be relevant, the hexword DEADBEEF is also used in AACS decryption processing of BluRay and HD-DVD discs for Traitor Tracing using Sequence Keys.

OK, guess it's rebuild server time as a few things seem to be going a bit haywire recently. Unfortunate as my cousin who runs Myth is coming over this weekend and I was dying to show him the superiority of PVRX2 Big Grin

Guess that's 2 late nights for me then!
