Hi.
I'm taking baby steps here, trying to get my setup going. I have now run into another roadblock.

My current setup.
GBPVR 23.13
Hauppage WinTV USB2
GeForce 4 TI
WinXP.
19" CRT monitor and a 51" HDTV in DuelView mode.
(2 sceens, side by side, different resolutions)
The TV is running a 800x600 via svideo.

So, I can use GBPVR to view live TV on the monitor. But as soon as I drag or maximize GBPVR on the TV side, the image/sound freezes (or I get a black screen). GBPVR is still running and is not hung. (I can hit ESC, and it goes back to the menus just file).

WinTV2k works fine on the TV.

I'm sure someone has seen this before.
Any Ideas?

Thanks!

What speed CPU do you have, and what are you using for playback - MVP/XCARD/PVR350/Overlay/VMR7/VMR9?

It's a 3.4 Ghz P4. Processing power should not be a problem.

I'm using the SVideo output from my GeForce 4 TI video card. I'm not using any special device like a MVP.

PS:

I don't know what "Overlay/VMR7/VMR9" are. I think I saw then as part of the GBPVR config. If that's the case, perhaps I've selected the wrong setting...

With some machines the VMR7 setting has a tendency to produce a black screen.

You can select between VM7/VMR9/Overlay on the playback tab of the config app. Try them all.

Hi.  I'll try them all.
It's an MSI GeForce4 Ti4200 VIVO
128Meg DDR
"VIVO" = Video In / Video Out
Heres the spec sheet:
http://www.msicomputer.com/product....0-VTD8X

This card is a better/faster and older(!Wink product than the FX5200 (Which got poor reviews for performance.) I got the VIVO model specifically for it's video in/out capabilities.

I hope this all helps. I really don't want to buy a new Vid card. This one should be up to the task.

Hmm...
Very interesting:

I switched over my Video Decoder to:
"InterVideo NonCSS Video Decoder" from "System Default"
AND
Changed to "Overlay Manager"

Now I get a picture, but no sound...
