Can GBPVR and hauppauge wintv2000 work together at the same time?

Hi!

Currently using hauppauge wintv pvr150 with default wintv2000 software(small screen and put at right top corner) to watch tv while surfing the net.

If I buy a non-hauppauge single/dual hybrid tuner(pal + dvb-t) with hardware mpeg2 encoder, will I still be able to use wintv2000 to watch tv while the hybrid tuner is recording(either analog or dvb-t) in the background with GBPVR? (hauppauge pvr150 not added into GBPVR)

Or some files will be in use and make it impossible for both to work together?

Yes this works quite well. You should even be able to do it with another Hauppauge card. I can record in WinTV and use GBPVR on the same Hauppauge combo card.

If I add in a hauppauge HVR2200, how to make sure wintv2000 will be using my old PVR150 instead of the HVR2200?

Glad to hear that I'm still able to record with wintv2000 while the other card is working in the background with gbpvr.

The easiest way would be not to configure the HVR 2200 in WinTV.

Is there a way to choose which card to configure and which card not to configure in wintv2000?

Last time, the hauppauge support team told me that wintv2000 won't work if I have 2 or more hauppauge tuners installed in the same pc.

I can only tell you that I have WinTV working fine with three Hauppage tuners - 2x DVB-T and 1x DVB-S. I still like to use it in a window whilst doing other stuff. You can change the default tuner in the Suitemanager. A limitation of WinTV is that it can't do HD TV, So sometimes I have DVBDream running in a small TV window whilst working so I can watch BBC or ITV HD!
