I have a system that will wake from standby happily to do recordings, but will not wake for an epg update. My epg source is an xml file (produced by subs little dvb2xml app) which resides on another computer on the network. I have vague recollections of a posting about this but can't find it. Anyone offer some thoughts?

do you have "wake machine" checked ? (gbpvr config.exe -> tab capture sources)

if you have that already checked, it may be because the machine is awakened by user that the rec service is using, and it may not have access rights to the network share where xml file is... one solution is to have rec service log in as user with rights...tho this may break channel blasting as usually ir blasters don't work with thta setup, but if you don't use one..Smile
i have another idea for a fix if that doesn't work..

Thanks Hermanjj

Had done that.

PBS

Will look at what you suggest but I don't think it is an acess to the share issue as the PC doesn't wake up to ever get to the point of connecting to the share. I have sat and watched it at the time it was supposed to be waking up and it bdoesn't wake. A mnaula push on the power bitton and it does.

When the PC is actually running I can do a manual EPG update and all works.

Regards
Kasper
