I have a Hauppauge Nova-S Plus card and have just installed GB-PVR because I want to try to watch BBC HD.

I've scanned for channels and GB-PVR lists BBC HD, but when I access the channel I hear the sound but get no picture, just a black screen. Please can someone advise me what's wrong?

Thanks,

Gary

Do you have the Cyberlink H.264 decoder installed so you can watch this type of channel?

Please forgive my ignorance, I'm new to this, and I didn't know that I needed the Cyberlink decoder! I suspect I don't have it, and guess from your post that that explains my problem. Where can I get it?

Unfortunately the H.264 decoders arent as easy to come by as MPEG2 decoders. You can get it from some of the ultra versions of the Cyberlink PowerDVD.

Some people have reported success with other H.264 decoders like CoreAVC (also a pay product), and MPC-HC H.264 decoder (free), but I havnt tried either of these so cant vouch for them.

If I download a trial version of Cyberlink PowerDVD, will it include the relevant decoder, and will I be able to extract it and continue to use it after the trial of PowerDVD itself runs out?
