Hauppage PVR150 Remote Problems

I know there has been other posts started on this, but Im getting nowhere... I just bought the card the other day, originally for MythTV, but then I found out the 150 isn't supported that much yet, that and I always have  hard time with linux. I really love this pvr though, so I want to use it instead, but Im having a lot of problems.

Another thread said you can use it without ir.exe, but how is that setup? When I try the direct access option and close IR, the remote doesn't work.

With IR, the remote still doesn't work that well, infact the only buttons that do work are volume up and down. In another thread someone posted thier [gb-pvr] section in irremote.ini looks, which isn't working here.

Also, everytime I start live tv it says that a remote has been found, and it used to crash LiveTV when that happened, a reinstall fixed that, but it still pops up, is there any way to fix that?

Can someone possibly help me with any of this? Also, if someone has a 150 with the new remote that has it working, could they send it to me?
