Just for completeness my modem/router will only allow me to set up port forwarding to the same port number i.e:

port 7674 will only forward to pc:7674

I would need to use two different ports to forward to two separate computers i.e:
port 7674 >>> pc1:7674
port 7675 >>> pc2:7675

It's a relatively old modem/router and I have no idea how common this limitation is.

Do you have a gbpvr-webserver running on both computers?

No, I don't, but I do have GBPVR-webserver running on one computer and another web server running on my FSG networked hard drive.

So then you only have to forward port 7647 from the router to your gbpvr-system.

Yes, that is correct. Then, when I am away from home, I can use http://nn.nn.nn.nn:7647/gbpvr/guide.aspx and access GBPVR to set recordings and stream recorded programmes to my laptop. (nn.nn.nn.nn is my fixed IP address)
