I wonder if you can spot what error may be causing the EPG to not empty itself during the overnight EPG update?
The "production" server was running the previous version so I thought I'd better update to the current before asking - same error.

Sources are:-
DVB-1 BDA DVB-T xmltv EPG
DVB-2 BDA DVB-T same xmltv EPG as above
RF1 PVR150 analogue terrestrial same EPG as above
Sat PVR150 analogue from STB same EPG as above
S350 BDA DVB-S same EPG as above
composite PVR150 NO EPG
301-302 DVB same tuner as DVB-1 for two channels and DVB EPG

I tried yesyterday with the last source as NO EPG with the same result (but smaller log!).

any thoughts most welcome as the occasional Radio Times EPG shifts of a few minutes are getting annoying on the display (I've not seen them for a long time until now).

This is is cased by having the 'composite PVR150 NO EPG' capture source. The old logic effectively said "if any capture sources return no tv listings, then skipping the empty epg step". This is fixed in the next release, where it ignores any capture sources that have the EPG source set to None.

Ah - many thanks for that sub. I'd been going cross-eyed peering in the logs to see if there was any indication.

So if I say it uses xmltv like the others, but don't setup any channels it should be ok?
or would it still fail the "if any capture sources return no tv listings, then skipping the empty epg step"

Changed my mind - forget that last question - it will be easier to just remove that source and re-create it if/when it might be needed (rarely, it was used for a security camera a few months ago).

Sub, just to confirm that getting rid of composite with no EPG has stopped the problem of not emptying the EPG
