They don't work. The "recording status" windows doesn't display well when multiple recordings are made on a single source and won't show more than around 5 (either displays off to the right or scrolls to invisibility.

The other evidence would be the "pending" screen, but that also doesn't show enough on one page at the same time.

Thanks for that, I also checked out the wiki definition of MUX.

So... by checking the the config of each tuner, I can identify which channels share a transponder and set up recording slots accordingly!

And lo...

Recording two channels at the same time is all very good. But recently I have found that when recording two channels at the same time on different transponders gives me drop outs. I have the dvb-t 500 so I have dual tuners. If i record two channels on the same transponder or just one channel the recording is good. But two different transponders, every time results in some drop outs. Is this a result of poor signal strength, bad hdd or something else. Is there a place where we can check the signal strength or an application that will do this?

thanks

I've not had problems like that except one time when XP dropped the disk transfer down to PIO mode from DMA mode for some reason only known to itself!

This tools is good for scanning and showing signal strength/quality. It say "UK" but should work most places.
