I've been trying for days to get my GBpvr working after changing from Comcast to Verizon. I don't think the problem is really either one of those it's just that something happened during. I was on an old version that I just loved, 99.12, and was unable to get it going. I thought i screwed it up somehow but just couldn't find the problem. I took it out, re-installed it, no better. I removed it all and installed the new version. I'm getting the same exact problem for some reason.

When I record something all I ever get is static, like the capture card isn't there, even though it's seen when I'm setting it up in config. I can view and record TV directly from WinTV so I know it's there and works. It's the same unit I've been using so I know it works in GBpvr, at least it worked in 99.12.

I'm really stumped and the wife is scowling at me yet since I've now missed two days of her soaps.

Anyone want to help save a marriage or at least my sanity? Smile

Logs attached.

Logs below, I messed this up, sorry about that

You attached the logs too loosely and they have fallen off.

Edit: You were too quick for me!

Are you trying to record basic analog cable channels, or from a set top cable box (via svideo/composite/tuner)?

I'm trying to record from a Verizon STB via composite connection.

Given you're seeing snow, it sounds like you've got your capture source set to use the tuner, not the composite input. Fix that and you should be good to go.

You were exactly right. I had it set to use fixed channel external tuner. I had never changed that from using a DTA from Comcast when I did the change over. Once I made that change in the capture source setting it comes right up.

Sub, thank you very much, this has been driving me nuts.
