Shoooom!!! (the sound that made as it went right over my head)

Thanks for the offer. I'd be happy to supply it if I knew were to get it. :-)

Your PCH is looking for the machine named mangokiwi but you ran the syntax check on BMSERVER2 assuming they are they same edit (with an approved editor) GB-PVR.html and change

<a href="http://localhost.drives:8883/NETWORK_SHARE/BMSERVER2:mvpmc/gbpvr.cgi">GB-PVR</a>
to
<a href="http://localhost.drives:8883/NETWORK_SHARE/mangokiwi:mvpmc/gbpvr.cgi">GB-PVR</a>

I see, I thought that just put the shortcut in the media sources. They are two different PCs, mine and my sister-in-laws. I suspect the fact that works via the "GBPVR from network browser" link sufficiently proves the point I was after - the PCH A100 is okay, something on their PC is preventing it from working on their system.

Thanks,
-Brad

The saga continues...

I bought them a new PC (ok, refurbished Dell Optiplex GX280) w/WXP Pro SP2. I then installed WXP SP3, dotnet 3.5 SP1, MSVC++ 2005, and DirectX 9.

Of the minimal software I installed on this new PC, I used the exact same version that my PVR PC is using (AVG 8.5, Zone Alarm 8.0, FireFox 3.6.3, etc). You may recall (especially if you look upwards in this thread) that this A100 works perfectly with my PVR PC, a Dell Dimension 9100.

I get the same error I was getting before - I can navigate to GBPVR.html on the A100, but all 3 of the options return "Request cannot be processed"

Here's the NMTCheck output from the new PC.

Several things.

1. Edit GB-PVR.html and change

<a href="http://localhost.drives:8883/NETWORK_SHARE/WIVO:mvpmc/gbpvr.cgi">GB-PVR</a>
to
<a href="http://localhost.drives:8883/NETWORK_SHARE/wivo:mvpmc/gbpvr.cgi">GB-PVR</a>

2. The internal web server is not running, perhaps you need to allow it through your firewall or tell the recording service to interact with the desktop

3. You have GBPVR set up as 1280x720 and your NMT is configured for NTSC

Blast - case sensitivity! That was it, thanks Martin.

I did notice (at 2am a few nights ago) I couldn't enter caps with the remote on the PCH. I suppose there is a way, but I was too tired to research it and the thought did not survive reboot (sleep).

Thanks again!
