I am a total Newbie with no sound

I just found out about NPVR tonight and started trying to use it. I have zero experience in PVR/DVR software. I loaded it and it went pretty well. I searched and found all the channels. The picture is great but I have no sound. Sound works great with all other software, etc and I have checked volume setting.

My computer is an HP laptop - dv7-6c95dx. I am using a fairly old (but still working) Pinnacle ProStick tuner. I would think it is a codec/decoder issue but I have no idea where to start. I appreciate your help.

One other thing - when I right click on the screen, where it says "Audio Stream", to the right it says 'Disabled'. Is this the problem and if so how do I change it?

Go into decoder section and make sure you have selected decoders
you may need to install ffdshow(free) or cyberlink(not free) or similar decoder
