That tells us the machine name is set correctly, since that communication is done via TCPIP.
The share name is used for loading the database. This is used for loading data, like channel lists, and TV Guide etc, which is the thing you seem to be having problems with. Maybe check the share permissions on the server.

both share permissions & security file settings for all/any relevant files & folders are set to 'Everyone' & 'Authenicated users', both set @ permission to do 'everything'
Maybe it's time to uninstall NextPVR from the client machine. Then delete the NextPVR folder in Users/Public and /Program Files (x86). Then reinstall NextPVR on the client machine. Not much to lose at this point. And the version of NextPVR on the client and server should be the same version.
