@techpro2004 I have made a small tweak to allow the first 5 letters of the show name to appear in Emby which is marginally more useful. Hopefully that addresses the concern you raised with use of the guide data. If not I will remove it entirely.

Please do not remove the channel.xmltv option.
Can you use the same limitations you mentioned in this thread and just filter out the SD stuff when we call the channel.xmltv?

Actually that is a feature that I didn't know was already implemented so I was about to post as a feature request...
Whatever what the licensing with online EPG providers has to do with grabbing the EIT data and providing them in xmltv format?
Just avoid to proxy the online data and everyone will be happy.

Just registered to give a little bump and say I too miss having an method=channel.xmltv option. A bit puzzled as to why exactly it was removed but I'll go back to xTeVe for now. NextPVR seemed to handle recordings a little better than xTeVe but I need an XMLTV export to get auto mapped listings in my app.
