GBPVR recording starts fast forwarding toward end

Recorded using GBPVR and for first 55 minutes of hour show, everything was fine. During playback of last five minutes or so all of a sudden the video and audio accelerate as in fast forward mode. Runs this way using GBPVR playback or Winamp. I was sleeping so no other apps were running.

PC:
AMD 1600+ (1.4GB) Athlon CPU
160 GB WD 7200 rpm hard drive [8MB cache]-data on 130 GB partition with no other files
512 MB RAM (PC3200)
Epox 8KHA+ mobo
ATI Radeon 9250 video card (new)

I had this happen at one point, but don't remember how I fixed it. What I think was happening is that it was trying to keep sync w/ audio. It would try, fail, speed to catch up, fail, etc. SInce it never catches up and synced, it just run amok. I think I played w/ the encoders/decoders and some settings. Try a different enc/dec or turn off some processing like dscaler or whatever and see if it helps.
