On the SPDIF to RCA, I have a theory - are you able to create channels and try it form SPDIF to *front* RCA, rather than back RCA? I think Hauppauge changed a pin name somewhere along the line, and it's not able to correctly route the audio for the rear RCA.

Does it make any difference if you try it on a channel with no blaster?

Can you also try it with the Microsoft DTV-DVD Video Decoder instead of this Cyberlink one, since I know nothing about this specific decoder and I'm not sure how well it plays with the new reader.

nope... i'm just using that one cuz it's faster to startup..
glad you didn't mean the mpeg channels from the prime..
tho that is almost everytime now..won't start mpeg2 channels directly..only after letting another channel crank up the decoder will an mpeg2 channel work..
short changes to another channel without letting decoder settle usually doesn't work, have to let it sync first, then change to mpeg2 ch.

always seemed to act the same no matter the decoder..but i do like ms too
i let it play for like 30 secs...and noticed every 5 secs or so a frame change, and sometimes pixelation that wasn't there..
did this the whole time this time till i ended.

oh, and with the new nshared, the changer line doesn't change[executable/hauppauge/none], everything else does tho..

i get left channel only when set to front-rca

Try this patch, then post the logs again. It adds more logging in demux.txt
