Hi Imilne,

I spotted two strange tuner errors last night. I did a quick screen shot to demo the problem, I think it is the Status plugin as rather NPVR completed the recordings successfully.

I've got a lot a tuners in my new NPVR server but I'd not completed the config of all of them but I'm making recording via the Freeview cards / DVB-T tuners.

The First Error is : Last night I noticed that the system plugin was reporting it was recording a film on an analog card when the actual recording was from one of the free view tuners.
The Second Error is : The File Size of the Film is not increasing as it's looking at the 'wrong' ts file. NPVR has create two (for some reason) and it looking at the first, whilst NPVR was busy writing to the second file.

I didn't get a change to investigate closely as I had family over and was told to 'leave that computer alone'.....

If you need logs etc.... please ask, I'll be happy to post ....
Regards Systemshark

I thought there was a image download feature but it appears not...

Here is the zoomed in sections of the screen shot.

Cut 1 .. show both Errors, 0Bytes file and Incorrect Tuner

Cut 2 ... shows Tuner Config... which shows the 7231 Analog tuners have no channels configured...

Whcih log file should I be posting ?????

Have you been able to duplicate this error again?

I've attached a test build that will ignore any custom names for the tuners (regardless of whether you've given them names or not); that's the only thing I can think of right now that might be buggy and causing what you're seeing.

As for the filename, that is fed to the plugin directly from a ScheduledRecording object (via the NPVR api). If it's wrong, then I don't think there's anything I can do about it. Perhaps the recording service has additional logic that ends up using a different file if things have gone a bit tit's up at record time.

Hi imilne,

first off thanks (if I haven't before, and even if I have, thanks again anyway for a great plugin!)

I am in the final throws of tweaking NextPVR to my liking before turning off GB-PVR.

If I have missed something about this sorry, but request. Could System have the keyboard 'Home' key implemented that brings up the hidden menu?

(and also to save posting twice could the Sub Menu plugin have this as well?)

cheers

Yeh thanks Jaggy, I worded that wrong probably. What I meant was could there be one! i.e. to keep conformity with the Home key. I know I can have the Main Menu option enabled in the Plugin but I'm kind of getting used to using 'Home' on KB and 'Info' on remote to bring up hidden menu and then just hit 'Back'.

Does that make sense?

cheers

I'll give it some thought, but no promises (I've no time for programming just now anyway so it might be a while regardless).

I don't actually think either plugin needs a hidden menu, but if it helps maintain consistency with the rest of the app then I guess there's no harm, other than the time needed to code it...

Thank your Sir,

some thought is all I ask Wink No worries as to whether it happens or not. As such it is not that either plugin 'needs' them as you have built in 'Main Menu' or 'Back' to both of them.

I'm just teaching Mrs Steeb that 'Home' / 'Info' displays the hidden menu, and as you say consistency may be good Big Grin

cheers
