Certainly on the NMT none of my plugins use Home/Info to activate the hidden menus and it won't work for sub's either. Universe, Web Radio and SearchLite all use the original method which is left or up arrow (depending on view) to activate it, down arrow to exit. I think that was the method until Recordings started using the left arrow. On the NMT the Source key works more like the Menu key but I haven't enabled it in my stuff but I guess I can next time I am in the code.

What's the keyboard equivalent for the "Info" you're talking about?

On my remote (via HIP), I have Home mapped to "Menu", and Ctrl+B mapped to "Info", the latter popping up the OSD over video and it used to toggle views in GBPVR. I haven't really used NPVR enough yet to get my head around the hidden menu, but I thought (from memory) that it was Home that activated it.

Does anyone have any other thoughts regarding a hidden menu and the System plugin? It obviously still uses the old GBPVR button layout, but I've always thought it quite suited that, because the main purpose of the plugin - for me - is to shut down my PC, and I like having instant access to its options. There's seven or eight options in System; that may be too many for a hidden menu. Should it just contain "Main Menu" and perhaps "Exit", leaving everything else as is?

Martin I don't want to hijack imilne's thread but on the MVP (can't check on NMT currently) info button definitely brings up the hidden menu for Sub's default plugins (or is that not what you are saying?) Both Weather and TV listings have the Home/Info to bring up the hidden menu.

Yup 'Home' on K/B is what activates it.

Could there be an option with System plugin where you place menu entries? i.e. on left menu OR on hidden? For instance I don't mind going into system, rebooting, shutting down or even restarting services Wink

Of course this is fine for me. Now if Mrs Steeb or someone else clicks on these accidently not so good? So for systems where a whole household has access that would be quite cool if more dangerous options could be in the hidden menu? Anyway I'm rambling, perhaps that is a rubbish idea Big Grin

I am not sure of your point. What I said is on the NMT it is Source of sub's screens.

My mis-understanding, therefore I had no point!

I'm sorry, those logs don't tell me anything. And neither does the problem signature (perhaps someone else knows how to interpret it?). Edit: although they do say you haven't got DirectX installed. Do you have the needed update that sub posts?

Does the crash happen with the system screen active, or just while updating the EPG, but with you doing something else (eg watching Live TV)?

The crash happens with just the system screen open and nothing going on in the background.
I ran a dxdiag and it shows things are fine....DirectX 11. I have 2 systems running NPVR and it does this on just one of them. I'll check a few things out on my end and see if I can find anything that sticks out.
I can say that the rest of the functions seem to work just fine.

Having dx11 doesn't mean you have the required dx9 installed. You need to install dx9 on XP, Vista, and Win7 as they have written on the wiki.
