with the last test files you provided, I got it work.
Awesome.
Of course I'd prefer that we could run the MVP video player from inside GBPVR (better control of FF/FR etc.), but this is a great solution.
From remote I can go back and forth a sneeded to play WMV files. The reason this is important to me is that I can use GBPVR to record with comskip, clean up the file and convert it to WMV which requires 1/3 as much space. Unfortunately I've spent days trying to make GBPVR play WMV reliably. Until that is fixed this is a great alternative.
Thanks for your help.
Time permitting I'll change the screen files so they show "go2mvp" instead of Radio. When done I'll post them.
Thanks Cakes
Marco M.

GBPVR v1.16 on Compaq P4 2.9 mhz, 1024mb, 200gb
Hupp. WinTV USB2, MVP direct connect via 100mb cross-over cable
Pc also acts as web server (using Badblue p2p swr) with USB WIFI and can be remotely accessed via UltraVNC

Did that already, here they are:
Just drop them in C:\Program Files\Hauppauge MediaMVP\image\English
They are not exactly the same style as the original MVP, but for me they are ok.

Cakes,
thanks that does it. Smile
Suggestions:
1. For everyone else's benefit you might want to repost your original post with all the files you added in subsequent ones. It will save a lot of trial and error. I'd be happy to do it, but it was YOUR HANDYWORK that solved my issues.
2. For those like me that would prefer using a batch file in the GBPVR custom menu instead of your vb script, below is mine

rem go2mpv.bat
call "c:\program files\hauppauge mediamvp\hardware\start.bat"
sleep 5
process.exe -k GBPVR.exe

It uses the freeware utility sleep.exe (followed by number of seconds to suspend batch processing). I've had it so long I do not remeber where it came from, but is not my work and is available from countless sites. It is attached here in any case.

That includes me, but I didn't find directly how to pause a batch file... now I do!Wink

This works only half way for me. The Hauppauge MVPservices are started, but the MVP does not _automatically_ restart. I have to switch off/on the MVP with the remote before I get to the HP interface. Something going wrong with the kill process, or is my present version GBPVR 96.12 to rapid in restarting ?
Anybody experiencing this behaviour?

quite possible, very strong stuff this GBPVR... Wink

In my setup, a 3sec delay is enough.

I kept it on 5 seconds. Anyhow doing a switch off/on is less work than going to the basement to do the switching on the computer console...

Thanks for this nice solution!

(I had problems uploading them in one zip file, so I had to add .txt to them all )

These are no longer available. Could someone repost them please? Thanks.

Hi here are at least two of them, the ones for testing the launchinie: [ATTACHMENT NOT FOUND]
I did not include the vbs script anymore as it was pretty stupid... :o

The batchversion in this post is much simpler: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...post101025

I don't really use the solution myself anymore, but I guess it still works.
