I saw somebody asking sub about setting a delay in UIRT. I'm trying to find it again.

I wouldn't mind getting uirt to do the remote receive as well.

I have two PVR 150 as well. If you want to use the USB-UIRT as a ir receiver, you'll probably need a third party program (Girder?) to process the ir code and control GBPVR. What I do is use the ir receiver and the 45 button remote that comes with it and reprogram a learning remote that I have. I don't want to bother setting up another program when GBPVR already directly supports it.

As for the delay between the number transmittion, I haven't had much time to play with that. I can definitely change channel on my external receiver much faster than GBPVR so I'm thinking I need to tweak the settings a bit.

One feature I hope GBPVR gets is knowing when to send the on/off code to the receiver. That way I don't need to leave the external tuner on all the time.

It seems to me that the problem with the usb-uirt as a receiver being too sensitive is getting worse by the day. I am, however, inclined to think that it has been like this all the time, that it only feels like it's getting worse.

I use the hauppauge remote (or, at least a universal remote which I have taught the codes from the hauppauge remote), and did in fact have some problems teaching my usb-uirt the codes from it. Could that be part of the problem?

Is there any way of making the usb-uirt less sensitive to input from my remote? As it is now I almost need a machine to tap the keys on my remote ever so quickly in order to make the usb-uirt perceive only one keypress at a time Big Grin

I will also, when my kids learn to sleep, try to check my log files and see what happens in them.

I'm sure its just the same as it has been every other day Big Grin

Can you zip and attach a log so I can take a look. Also include the USB-UIRT-remote.ini file.

I restarted GBPVR. I also were in the config app. Changed from Swedish to English, that's why I was in there (otherwise I'm rarely there).

The problem totally went away. Now I cannot make it do double inputs unless I hold down the button for a long time. So, something got reset when I restarted gbpvr (or the recording service, but that seems far fetched) I did not restart the computer.

If this comes back, I will tell you, and I will get the log files for you. I can see tonight if I have the logs left from two days ago, I will attach them in that case. (Still don't have internet at home, it's starting to feel like a bad horror movie... ;-)

Ok... of course I forgot the USB-UIRT-remote.ini file. If you still want it I can get it when I get home.

I attached two logs. gbpvr.exe-2.log contains logs from when things were really bad. One obvious example is at timestamp
2006-03-12 19:39:48.957
where I repeatedly tried to skip 20 minutes in a file, and it tried to skip 220...

gbpvr.exe.log is from after I restarted, and things seems to work ok again.
