Start the config app and click the 'ok' button to close it. Does the gbpvr.mdb shrink? What size is it now?

If its still big, then something must have been holding onto a database connection, which would stop the database compaction from occurring. Stop all GB-PVR software and any GB-PVR utilities you might be running and try again.

Alternatively, try running the jetcomp.exe utility to manually compact the database.

You zap2it download wont work until you can manage to shrink the database.

Ok , rebooted for the 3rd time , but disabled the only plugin I use (Weather) and tried it again and it worked. All guide info and channels are correct and the gbpvr.mdb is now 38MB. Could the Weather plugin have prevented the database from compacting?? Thanks a million for the quick help.

If it had a connection to the database, then yes.
