What's the reason for not displaying more of what's captured in the xml, or give users the choice as to how much they prefer? I mean I respect its your private project, but you may agree that the above statement is a bit irritating, not?

Or is your rejection referring to the solution proposed by djtaylor, and you would just do it another way?

Sometime in the future GB-PVR will be moving away from using an MS Access database. Between now and then I dont want to make work/break the dozen or so utilities and plugins which directly query these tables. Depending on the MS Access replacement I choose, you may get longer fields, but I wouldnt want to promise since I'm not sure at this stage

PMFBI - but mediaportal makes a big thing of having scrolling text so that you can see the whole description of a film etc.

BTW - I haven't managed to get mediaportal to work as far as getting live tv anyway :o , but the epg looks pretty good
