Dont know if this will be much help but I used to suffer from regular blue screens.

I stress tested everything, and monitored temp levels and could find no faults.

I eventually rolled back the radeon drivers to an earlier revision of the catalyst drivers and now rarely have a system crash.

I think Im using something like 5.13 now, I would also remove any other device your not using.

It looked promising that the problem was tv-out, since it did not crash for about 10 minutes. Then all of a sudden it showed that gb-pvr had crashed, and when I clicked ok it blue screened and the computer rebooted :/ I am thinking of trying a different operating system such as windows 2000. I am completely unaware of what the problem is. Right now I am considering switching to linux and using mythtv or freevo because it doesn't look like this is going to work. I am installing windows 2000 atm so hopefully that will help.

Ok I am having even more trouble trying to get gb-pvr to work with windows 2000. It gives a bunch of errors when I try to run config.exe related to the .net framework, even though I have .net framework 2.0 installed. So I cannot even get into gb-pvr to see if it works. It looks like this install of windows 2000 is broken for some reason, so I am about to give up on getting gb-pvr to work.

Don't get mad at me, but you are one of the first people I know, to think a program might work better in win 2000 as in winxp, what it was designed for. Wink

To ruleout hardware problems: try your card on another pc.
AMD Athlon 64 3000, HDD: 80, 120, 200 GB, Hauppauge 350 + 150, MVP, Asus 6000L Laptop client, Asus X50sl client,
Fritz!box 7140 modem/router, GBPVR 1.3.7.

No my problem was in windows xp, and now I am trying windows 2000. When I open config.exe microsoft.net framework 2.0 crashes and here is the error I get:
(no I do not think that it would work better in 2000 than xp, but I just want it to work without the processor resetting)

In Win2000 you probably need to update the version of Windows Media Player.

I thought it was working, it worked for about 30 minutes, but it is still rebooting :/ My motherboard has the via chipset, and I have the newest drivers for everything. There is one thing I should note, there is no video when using wintv2000. When I select svideo in the menu, the next time I view the menu option svideo it is grayed.

Sorry to say it, but I think something sounds "unhealthy" in your machine. You may find exactly the same thing if you install linux/mythtv.

I don't understand since everything else works fine, I've never had any bluescreens at all on this machine when it used to be my regular desktop computer. Now it doesn't look like its actually bluescreening, it just reboots without any warning. I should probably put the card in another machine to make sure there isn't anything wrong with the card. Has anyone ever had problems with the pc rebooting while using gv-pvr? If so please post here. Maybe I am installing the software incorrectly to cause this?

How big is the power supply in your machine?
