I've seen it once or twice, but put it down to something at my end as there was no rhyme or reason to when it happened. For me I have to put the MVP into and out of standby to reconnect or it just sits there trying to connect. It "seems" to be when exiting sub menu's. I wouldn't have mentioned it if I hadn't noticed this thread. Sorry no logs, but I will grab them next time I catch it.

(another option on 'system' menu "Zip up log files" ?? )

To Jch: I saw the firmware for your router, looked like a beta to me, might try an other one there. I know there's a lot of them for the Linksys 54wrtg.
AMD Athlon 64 3000, HDD: 80, 120, 200 GB, Hauppauge 350 + 150, MVP, Asus 6000L Laptop client, Asus X50sl client,

HtV, I also use HyperWRT Thibor 15c on my two WRT54GS v1.1's and in my opinion it's the most stable 3rd Party router f/w I've ever used :-). It's not really beta....

My MVP just reset itself.
I was watching a recording, it finished, I went back to the main menu and into 'recordings' to see what was pending - rebooted. Crashed as 18:35 (or close enough?)

Log attached. - Early parts removed.

I've just realised its dropped to an old version when I moved to gbpvr ver .13 let me have a look.... 1,730,080 bytes, 22March2005 18:04:10.. Can't see a version number buried inside. I guess it may be the default with Subs installation routine.
I'll change over to a new one later tonight.

You probably know this already, but even when you upgrade gbpvr, it will only have changed the dongle if you unplugged the MVP. That version is

DONGLE_24_23096 and = GBPVR 96.12.BIN and 97_9.BIN dongles (and 97.13 it seems)

Yes, it was only after a few days when we'd had thunderstorms and the power went off that it reloaded the older version from the upgrade.

Are the problems gone now with the newer dongle?

not that i know of.
instead, with the newest dongles, there is some hardcoded hauppauge-osd, which is quite annoying when using gbpvr.
also, at least in my environment, all 3.x-dongles take a very long time to connect to gbpvr. (about 15 secs compared to 4)

as i mentioned above, my restarts happen on the gbpvr 0.97.13 original dongle.bin and also the 3.x-one. (don't know the exact version now)
