I've had a very similar problem since upgrading GB-PVR to the latest release. I've always had issues with GB-PVR not recording things (end up with a 0kb mpg), but it was only occasionally. However, the latest release doesn't record almost everything I schedule.

I got a bit fed up with this at one point, and wrote a script which detects any new mpg files in my recordings folder, and monitors them. If they're still 0kb after 120 seconds it restarts the recording service. This always kicks the recording into life, but it's odd the service needs to be restarted each time, especially in the new release. As a test, I disabled the script and let a test recording run it's course, but it still failed.

I've attatched my recording service logs from some testing I did today.

Thanks - I've just tried two test recordings and both recorded perfectly.

However...the test recordings had several video glitches (blocky, stuttering etc), which I used to get with GB-PVR, but haven't noticed since I upgraded to the latest version.

Does this fix alter the way the recording services tunes in/locks onto channels?

No it doesnt. You're using DVB, so the digital signal is written pretty much verbatim as it is received from your capture device. If its blocky or stuttering, then it sounds like your signal is marginal at times.

With digital, I'd have to say this must just have been a coincidence. There isnt anything in GB-PVR that would affect this. You'll either get nothing, or the best the capture device can deliver.
