I found this ACE codec pack that has all the filters and codecs. I made sure the Cyberlink filters were installed. But I keep running the BDa mUX Checker and it says i don't have anything installed.

Any Idea?

The BDA Mux Checker is not used for checking if your have a Video decoder installed. Its used to check if you have a Mux filter installed. A mux is only needed for people with digital cards, so isnt relevent in your situation.

Oh, Thank you for clarifying that. I installed the common codec's but I will have to wait till tonight to test it out.

I thought I have a codec installed because before installing that app I told you before, I was getting an error and now I get a black or partially garbled screen (like the image is distorted).

The black or garbled screen is often a sign of the missing decoder.

Thanks,

I will work on it and come back to document my solution or ask any other questions I may have.

Thank you again,

Well Now, I get an error message.

DirectVobSub: IPersistStream is no longer supported.

P.S. I am working out of my state and staying in a hotel. Does anyone know how I can find the correct listings for hotels or create my own custom listing?

Thanks,

Mike A.

Uninstall DirectVobSub from that machine and the error will go away.

I have removed that component.

Can you take a look at this site and tell me if the "ACE Mega Codecs Pack" is going to work for me with gbpvr?

I looks like it has every codec/filters under the sun. I installed it as pro but removed DirectVobSub.

All I get is a blank screen. Why can I see the channels in the 'Tuning Assistant' but not in the gbpvr GUI?

How do I custom set my channels since there is no listing for the Hotel stations?

Thanks,

You probably dont have an MPEG2 decoder installed.

No I cant. I dont install codec packs, so cant provide any advice about them

It probably depends if you need listings and what channels it had. If you dont need listings, then you could problem create you capture source with the EPG source set to none, then manually create the channels.
