The machine was on again this morning.
Just a thought, but my PSU died a few weeks ago, and I have been using a spare one. Perhaps this has some 'noise' possibly forcing the start up. Today, I have re-fitted my replacement Antec TruPower 2 unit, which Antec replaced under warranty. It will be interesting to see if this makes a difference. I was running with the spare PSU for about a week without GBPVR installed, with no false starts, so I suppose it is unlikely to be the culprit.

I have just re-checked my bios and all possible features that could wake the pc are disabled.
Response to 'MVANDERE':
I put the pc into hibernation via the keyboard <start> <shut down> and then press the "H" key to invoke hibernation.
Response to 'STEFAN'
I have two scheduled tasks for Antivirus / System tools. Both are triggered at 15:30 & 16:00 on Fridays only, so these should not be the problem. I don't know if the pc goes back to hiberantaion after the EPG download as the machine is already on. I will set this to occur tomorrow morning when I am having my breakfast to see if it does.
