K-lite mega codec pack do have these tools like GraphEdit and Gspot. Use Gspot to see info about file (drag-drop file to Gspot) and to look up how your codec and filters are registered on your system.
Abit AT8-32X/Athlon64 X2 4200+@2200Mhz/2GB DDR RAM/Samsung 2x 250 GB/Club3D X1950XT+PowerColor Theatre 550 pro (PCIe x1)
CRT 19 inch/ 1600 x 1200 pxl/32 bit colour
Logitech Z-5400 surround system - DDL/DD ProLogic2 (96kHz/24kbit)/DTS decoder

PVR: GBPVR v.1.1.15;MPC+FFDshow+Haali splitter and renderer (use SM 2.0 on videocard);Avidemux+AutoMen+MPlayer/MEncoder/Stattik batch file[/COLOR]

I tried with graphedit 011008. I hit File > Render Media File and selected an mpeg (tried with 2 different ones).

It came up with the error:
Code:
Could not construct a graph from this file.

- Have you installed all necessary filters?

- Note that the 'Render File' menu cannot render *.GRF Files

Unspecified error (Return Code: 0x80004005)

Strange that all the other media players on my computer can play these files with no issues. I'll try using gspot.

I just tried graphedit with an rm file and the same message came up.

I've also opened a file in gspot and it said MPEG1 codecs are installed.
Is there anywhere or anything else I can look within gspot for relevant info?

Yeah, thats pretty much exactly what GB-PVR is getting. Something is screwy with your the directshow components on your machine. I wouldnt even know where to start looking to fix this sort of thing though.

I've never seen reports quite like this though, so I suspect if you tried it on any other machine it would be fine.
