I am having also some moving text blurry and other motion portrail problems.
Let me describe my system.

Intel 82945G Express graphics.
CyberLink Video/SP Decoder
RGB SD interlaced 50Hz out to
High end LCD TV with very good video deinterlacer.

So I like to use the deinterlacer of the TV when playing back 50Hz MPeg
Earlier in this thread is is mentioned I should use weave in the Cyberlink decoder setting but I do get better results with bob
There is no setting to disable the Cyberlink deinterlacer totally.
I tried to select the FFMpeg decoder as that decoder has a fully controllable deinterlacer but even though I can select it the used decoder is always the cyberlink.

Any advice?

yeah change decoder seems to be good in cyberlink dvd player but when it comes to gbpvr it caused funny things to happen
why arnt you using progressive with lcd?
im suprised you are asking for advice

have you used the tweak tool and turned down the temperal blur and wound up the sharpness(this could be the main reason )
http://www.free-codecs.com/download/MPV_Decoder.htm try this decoder
try vmr9 display field seprately (im guessing you are using overlay at the moment)
if thats jumpy go to vmr7 ,overlay
try changing to a progressive output doesnt your card have dvi output if it does get a converter to go to hdmi ?

The reason I use interlaced is because there is no way a PC or GPU based deinterlacer can match the motion compensated deinterlacer that is inside the TV (and yes, I am a TV expert)

Thanks for the advice. I will try and report back

Unfortunately I dont really think its possible to use an external deinterlacer and have it work well. The interlaced source signal from the tv broadcast does not make it cleanly though a computer and out to your TV. 576i lines will not come out as the same 576i lines are the other side.

I've never tried it myself, but I know others that have and have never managed to get the proper interlaced signal throught their PC. I think they ended up resorting to letting the mpeg decoder deinterlace the picture (then the video card tries to interlace the full frame on it's way out to the TV).
