how to upgrade

Anyone willing to create a brief overview page for the Wiki on how to upgrade?

I will take a stab at it.

I am doing a hardware upgrade to my main HTPC this weekend, and plan to upgrade GBPVR to the latest version (after I get the Hardware working).

I did some searches when I started planning this upgrade. I found a number of useful bits and pieces on GBPVR upgrades from the Forum user questions and responses (from sub and the rest of the community). I plunked chunks of these into Google Notes and/or Docs as I found them.

I will organize and edit this material, and try and pull it in to the GBPVR Wiki Syntax. Since I have not done this for a while, I will likely have to re-teach myself the Wiki basics.

I have made a first pass at combining your content ideas with mine, and copied the result into to the Wiki Page that you set up (link below).

All are welcome to review, edit, or provide suggestions for improvement.

As an extra backup, every night GB-PVR creates a recordings-dump.xml file in the GB-PVR directory that can be reimport recordings if they're lost for some reason.

Your my hero.... 283 recording imported after windoze had a fit and the drive letter changed.
