Quote:with the new skin, if you want to use more than two hours of guide data, do you have to modify the skin?
Its not currently possible to view more than two hours of listings with PVRX2.

Quote:also, with the new skinning system, there are two separate places where the size of composite images for lists are set, in the placement for the list, and in the tag for the composite image. is there any way that one of these could be eliminated?
It already does this where it can. If the size isnt specified on the placement, then it'll look for it on the composite image with exactly the same name, but there are several places it couldnt do this for a variety of reasons, so in these situation it explicitly specifies the size on the placement.

so I couldnt remove the size from the composite image and just use the size in the placement?

another question. is there any way to remove modes from a screen, such as the details view in the libraries... is there even any information other than the filename and preview image that can be displayed for a video/picture/song in the libraries?

In the blue skin I've already removed it in most places it makes sense to remove it. You might find some others than can be removed, but very few I suspect.

Some other places you're hoping to remove it you'll probably find the names are not an exact match, so there would have been no way the framework could work out the two are related.

No.

Not currently, but I do intend to add some more things. (filesize, MP3 tags etc, maybe codecs used e)

yeah, I wanted to remove it from all of the composite images for the lists, since it is the same size for all of them, but it sounds like I cant, oh well

ok, I have another question. Smile

how does button placement work? are you specifying where the center of the button should go in both axes? or just the horizontal?

It depends where exactly. In general I've only worried about horizontally centering buttons if its a vertical list of buttons (like button on left of Video Library etc) since they're all going to have a different vertical position.

I was just wondering how the button placements worked in general. I am guessing that for all the vertical lists it is the location of the top of the button and the horizontal center of the button. but then in (some) popups, where the buttons are horizontal, its the location of the center of the button that is specified.

is that about right?
