I don't know if this is what you're talking about, but I just have one user- administrator. It won't start on the right channels for the live tv or for scheduled recordings, but it was doing it before I made all these updates.

You actually have more accounts that that. Lots of system user accounts also exist. The recording service normally runs as a system account called "localsystem".

Zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

As far as I can tell it seems to be doing its thing without any errors.

Does it do this on every single recording? ie, no sign of the set top box trying to change channels?

That's correct. It's only for the first channel change. If I change the channel to a second channel it will send the information to the blaster and it will change perfectly fine. I don't understand why it's not sending that information before the recording or live tv. The blaster works perfectly fine otherwise. Again, I don't understand why it doesn't work. I just thought of another example. I was watching a channel on my tv without pvrx2 and expected it to automatically come out of standby and change when it was time, but it didn't- just started recording the channel I was previously watching.

On my last recording the analog recording worked fine, except it didn't stop, ie recorded for 1 1/2 hours for an hour show until I manualed restarted the recording service. Secondly, the atsc recording that was supposed be occuring simultaneously crashed after 5 mins. I don't know if it's linked or not, but here are the logs.

I still don't seem to be having any luck with this problem. Upgraded to newest version today (1.1.15) but still the same issue. Channel changes and manual recording seem to work perfect, but on a scheduled recording it records the channel its on.
I have tried a dozen or so times today, and everytime the log is pretty similar - It says it changed channel, and recorded - but when I watch it, nothing seems to come out of the IR blaster (sky doesnt blink to say it recieved data). Log attached below:

Sorry, but you shouldnt use the built in MCE2005 IR Blaster channel changer option. Its not fully functional. Instead most people use HIP. There is a page on the wiki that explains how to set this up.

Just to update you on this... I don't know why this fixed it, but by removing & re-adding the analog portion of my card in config. It's working fine now. I don't know, but I'm happy it's working. :-)
