pastro Wrote:Look at the builddvd command that is created in your temp/burndvd directory. If you can come up with a way to get that to work with nero, I can build it into the plugin.

I think pBs did this at one point in his development of showburner so you might check with him.

Do you know if nero can be called from the command line?
edit: Looks like it can with nerocmd. - Unfortunately I only have the CD version of nero. I'll see if I can locate the DVD burning version.

Ok got version 6 of nerocmd. Finally got it to burn an nrg file by using the command line from showburner that pbs pointed me to. The only trouble is I can't burn an empty audio_ts but I think that is ok. I'll build it into the plugin to use nero as an option. Should be done fairly soon.

It's done, but at the same time my usb ports in my computer aren't working right so I can't test with my usb burner. I did test the iso build and that worked fine.
It'll have to wait until I get a burner going to test it unless someone else wants to try out the nero burning option beta.

Ok my drive is working again so I tested the nero burning option out and it works fine. You will need to run the config application after you update to set a couple of new parameters in the config file.
I do not supply nero, so if you don't have it, make sure you set it to imgburn.

Is there a way to set the default directory to be, say, my videos, instead of the root directory, so you dont have to navigate through c, program files, documents and settings, user, etc, etc? ..... Program worked perfect except it did not show progress of the burn and when the finished dvd was ejected the box still showed something to the effect of "files are being built in the temp file, please put a blank disk in the dvd drive".. Dvd copied perfect though.... Thanks Todd

Glad to hear it worked ok.
It should go to your video directory. I'll check into that.
You have to close the message box that tells you the dvd is being built to see the status come up. I could close the popup after a bit if the user hasn't hit a key, or at least change the message to say close this box to see the status to make it clearer.

It sets it to c:\myvideos as the default. If that doesn't exist it goes to the root directory.
I can either make it a configurable setting or make it go to the recordings dir assuming I can read that from the config file.

I ended up changing it to go to the recordingsdir. It will be in the next release.

I installed this last night. It shows up and and I was able to configure it in my config just fine. When I select it, it flickers and then nothing. I see a mention of skins from the burnDVD being needed. Does the x2 installer install them somewhere? Or did I need to have BurnDVD installed first? BTW, I am just guessing on the skin problem, I have not looked at the logs (nor do I have access to them right now).

No it shouldn't need any additional files but make sure that the burndvdx2 directory under the skin2 and the skin directory were created and there are files in it.
You are using pvrx2 and not gbpvr correct?
Barring that zip up your logs and post them or take a look in the pvrx2.exe.x.log files. You should see a burndvdx2.exe activate a few things and activate complete. Btw,are there files in your recording database?

I looked, and they weren't created in either directory I am pretty sure (don't have access right now). Is there a place to grab them? I will double check when I get home. I am using PVRX2, correct. And SQLite.

The install must have bombed. There should be a message telling you that. I have to stop the tray application to get mine to install(in addition to the automatic stop of the recording service). However that should stop before the burndvdx2 dll is loaded so there is still a mystery there.
Give it another shot when you get home and post your results.

FYI, The install order is:
shared dlls to gbpvr dir
burndvdx2.dll to plugin\burndvdx2 dir
skin2 files to skin2\burndvdx2
skin files to skin\burndvdx2
third party\burndvd files
third party\burndvd\sound files
