To be honest, I'm not really sure.

I'm guessing there is something not right in your database. Its hard to guess what exactly is wrong, and their is no clear indication of anything going wrong in your logs. I'd suggest deleting your GBPVR.db3 file, then running the config app to recreate your capture source, then see if it fixes the problem.

OK, I'll try deleting that file and run the config app to recreate the capture source. I'll let you know what the results are. I just had another thought. Maybe I'll just remove GB-PVR from the system altogether and start from scratch. Now that I know what needs to be done (and won't be fooling around with an xmltv app), perhaps things will go better. I sure hope so. I've heard a lot of great things about this application and would really like to get it running properly.

Ok, I deleted gbpvr.db3 and ran the Config app to recreate the capture source but that didn't solve the problem. I restarted GB-PVR and still got the message about no tuners being available. So I decided to just remove GBPVR from the system and re-install it but that didn't solve the problem either. I'm wondering if I should install v.1.0.0.0.8 to see if I can get that one running. Are there systems that this software won't run on?

Earlier I checked the Hauppauge web site just to make sure I had the latest drivers for the PVR250 and I do. I don't know what else to do.

I went through a learning curve similar to what you are going through. I would suggest having another look at the whole setup process as it is most likely the same thing you are setting up wrong each time. When you ask for support try to give as much information as possible ie. operating system, tuner card(s) video card etc. what you have selected and what you have tried. DON'T give up you will find answer to the problem in the end.

can you post your config file for me ill load it up and see what i can see

have you uninstalled other program that you used to view tv on the card
so only the driver for the card is installed

cause if the you are getting a zero kb file either the tuner is not been released by something or card is noit available ie driver screwed error code 10 card has not started or sometimes they just pack a shit and dont respond (not very often)

Jaggy,

Thanks for the encouragement! I need it at this point. I gave some info about the system in my first email but I'll give a more complete rundown here now.

The hardware is an Asus A7V600 MB with an AMD Athlon 1.3 GHz cpu, 1 GB RAM and running Windows XP (SP1, SP2), DirectX 9c; Nvidia GeForce 4 MX400 graphics card and the PVR250 from Hauppauge with the latest drivers. I've attached both my config file and a text file that gives a rundown of how I setup the card.

Stustunz, it had occurred to me today or yesterday that perhaps I should uninstall the other two apps that I use to watch TV with the PVR-250. The main reason I didn't do so is that I don't know if I still have the installer for the Sage TV Recorder. Also I figured that if the WinTV2K and the Sage Recorder software coexisted without a problem, that perhaps I didn't need to remove them. No problem uninstalling WinTV2K as I have the software to re-install that. If you don't spot anything in the config file or the text file summarizing how I set the card up, then I'll have to see if I can somehow get another copy of the Sage Recorder installer. Of course, if I get GB-PVR working I won't need the Sage Recorder.

I had to zip the config.xml file as the system wouldn't accept it as an attachment, probably because of the 26.3 kb size. Thanks for you guys trying to help out. I'm sure we'll eventually get GB-PVR up and running right.

i cant see why its not working other than the other programs holding onto the card or getting in the way in some way

Did you get any errors running config, and did it show pictures at the mapping stage?
