Well check that on the smoothness of HD live TV, it depends on the content. Nascar and baseball are still all jittery. I was watching football earlier and it was smooth as silk. But turning off the task manager definitely made a difference on the replay of 1080p content.

So if I upgraded my motherboard to 3.0GHz hyperthreading processor would this make all the difference in the world on HD content?

can be many things
deinterlacing
frequency
interlacing
the way the program is recorded (camera hardware)

there are different arguements that have been had on here as to how to fix it
sorry there is no straight answer
ie in a previous post it was said to use antialiasing filtering for good playback well i find that does jack on my system im not saying it was wrong im just saying what works on one system may have strange results on another

basically its a problem with digtal media and analog media and no standard that they all have to use

I updated the nVidia drivers to the latest version. This appears to have improved the smoothness of the HD. However, now in GBPVR all the colors are washed out, for both analog(PVR-150 and digital HVR-1600). It's only in GBPVR that the colors are washed out. Any suggestions on what I can do? I tweaked the settings in direct.ini but this appears to have no affect on live video.

I understand how to open gbpvr in window mode but I don't understand the part about adjusting the direct3d colors. Where do I do this?

in the nvidia control panel
there about 3 different places to adjust colours in different tabs you will just have to try each one till you find it

Yep, thanks. It was the Video Control Section, I had to adjust the RGB sliders down. Perfectly did the trick, thanks for all the help.

the new nvidia control panel doesnt seem to act in a way you wouldexpect if you ask me very strange they seem to have gone backwards

you can also add custom resolution if you want to have a play it might make your picture look more like what you want give it a go you can laways switch back

I have been getting poor results in GBPVR for HD, I've got my SD fairly clean on a 22" LCD. In WinTV it's great (depending on the programming of course).

Does anyone know how to extrapolate the settings that WinTV is using and to apply them to GBPVR .

I'm using a X2 5200+, with 2gb of ram with XP. Built in ATI 1250 video.

Any ideas?
