Interestingly, this only happens on XP my machine. It does not occur on my Vista machine using the same tuner/decoders etc.

Here are the logs from the XP machine. It occurs when tuning digital channel 3.2 (WAVEDT2)

Huh, i just see that my Desktop under Vista freezes after watching a mpeg Clip with EVR enabled. OS is working, but the desktop is death.

I will give my logs later, atm i am not at home.

I've found EVR seems to deliver better performance under Vista than the old VMR9 FSE mode. The only issue I can see is that the OSD graphics just aren't quite as sharp as the VMR9 ones.

Sub,

Here are my logs. The other problem is the OSD for Resume/Restart doesn't show. I thought the video had locked up.

Yep, the definitely arent. PVRX2's OSD is designed for Direct3D, which is not possible with EVR, so the individual elements are composited onto a smaller bitmap then stretched to full the screen. For the most people though, you'll only notice while you're sitting right in front of it at your PC. For those watching it across the room, you'd probably not notice it.
