OK. Thanks for looking.

Can you just confirm for me that the logs look OK?

This is clearly not a hardware problem as the card is working perfectly with other software, and GB-PVR works fine with the other cards. However, GB-PVR was working with this card (1.1.5) before reinstalling Windows XP so the problem is presumably with Windows.

One last question - when installing Windows do I need to install .NET 1.1 AND 2, or are .NET packages backwardly compatible? If I installed .NET 3 would it be a problem for GB-PVR?

Thanks for your efforts Sub.

UPDATE - I just installed .NET 1.1 SP1 and now the tuner works in GB-PVR so happiness abounds!

So, if reinstalling Windows XPSP2 and you have a Terratec Cinergy 2400i DT you needs .NET 1.1 AND 2.0.

I cant think of any reason you'd need .net 1.1, but I'm glad you got it sorted.

I dont have .net 1.1 installed on my machine and it works fine without it.

Hi all, I am new to gbpvr it looks interesting but I have exactley the same proble.

Fresh install of XP home + 2400i

I have installed the Terratec software to confirm the card is ok, then uninstalled it and tried gbpvr with the latest bda drivers on the Terratec site.

As the previous posts suggest, I can scan and get the channel list, but after that on Live tv I get the black screen and then the 100% signal 0% quality message.

So I read this thread and decided to do a windows update which included .Net1.1 and .Net3.

But for me this makes no difference.

<BDADisableStatusChecks>true</BDADisableStatusChecks>

Make sure you try changing that in the config.xml file. It was mentioned in the first post but might have been missed. For whatever reason, I always have to have that line in there.
I bet Michael Bay uses GBPVR because it's awesome:

<BDADisableStatusChecks>true</BDADisableStatusChecks>

all <BDASubmitTuningRequestTwicexxxxxxxx to true

and the
NativeUtilities.dll

still no joy and i've run out of ideas. I might try it on my XP x64 machine next.

Maybe try an older version of the Terratec drivers.

Tomorrow I will try:

Older drivers
A re-install of gbpvr
A different install of XP on another machine
and a re-install of the same system, but pehaps I'll change the order of updates/drivers and software...
An install of XP x64

I'll report back how it goes.

Why do I always seem to have the "rare" problems????

I have a Leadtek 2000 hybrid card in another machine, I could try it in the gbpvr machine, is it supported?

Thanks for the support folks.....if i get this up and running I will defo send some cash to the gbpvr coffers.
