For your WinTV USB2 tuner, you can try using the GraphRecorder plugin. See the wiki for download and setup.

yeah, i used the graphedit utility already, but just like the filterinfo.exe log, theres no encoder for the WinTV Usb2.

*shrug* it doesnt reak my heart that i cant use it. It would be nice, but oh well.

Mainly i just need to get GB-PVR working with both my built-in Avermedia TV card and a USB TV tuner. I have a PS2 hooked up to the composite in on the avermedia and i want to put in a USB so i have a second tuner, basically.

Whats I cant get to work atm is composite for the avermedia. I set the recording source to composite, external tuner and i still get that error message in GBPVR or nothing at all in PVRX2.

I'm 90% certain that that config that whurlston wrote is good. when i set the card capture type to avermedia BDA it doesnt complain or anything. I just get no picture in GBPVR.

Caermundh Wrote:"Error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object." huh?
Post your logs after getting this error.

Caermundh Wrote:interestingly enough, the "map digital channels to EPG channels is grey out... if that means anything.
That will be greyed out for analog sources. It is only available for digital (BDA) sources.

Caermundh Wrote:(oh yeah, i also set the channel changer to the MCE2005 IR blaster plugin, becuase media center comes preinstalled on the system so i had the hardware handy.)
The channel changer is if you are using the IR blaster to change the channel on an external STB and then capturing it's output via S-Video/Composite input. If you are not doing that, it should be set to "None". This could be the cause of the above error.

Edit: I missed your latest post where that is what you were trying to do. Post your logs and I'll take a look.

ok, i dont need the channel changer for the Avermedia, I'm just trying to get it to display the output from my PS2 (which is plugged into the composite input of the tv card)

I changed the channel sector to "no channel changer required" and EPG source to "none". I left one channel in the EPG (channel 3). I also set the capture card source to composite, external tuner.

This seems to have gotten rid of the error, however i get a black screen in GBPVR now. How do i get it to display the composite input?

Zip and post your devnz\gbpvr\logs folder after attempting to view it. Also try removing the channel that you left and manually create one called PS2

Sorry. I can't tell what's wrong. You may have to bump this thread in a couple of weeks when sub gets back.
