Correct?
How is it advertised? I've certainly never made any claims it working with GB-PVR.

As I mentioned above though, if this device can view files from a windows share, or a upnp share then you should be able to share the directory that contains your recordings to let you play them. This would give you simple file access to the GB-PVR recordings. Several people use dumb media devices this way with GB-PVR, and are quite happy simply playing recordings.

A much better choice is the popcorn hour device, since that gives you the ability to view the GB-PVR user interface on your popcorn hour, and all the stuff you'd normally be able to do with GB-PVR on your PC. http://www.popcornhour.com/

I think he meant the "Watch Live TV", etc that Linksys advertizes. Those features are only available when used as a Media Center Extender with Windows/Vista Media Center.

Yeah, that device defintely wont do that with GB-PVR. It can be used for playing recordings though.

If you want to do live tv etc, you need a supported device like the PCH or MVP.

So where on Popcornhour's web site do they sell a version that is compatible with U.S. household electrical standards?

Do I need to buy a separate voltage converter?

When you order from their online store they send you the right type of power cable based on the country they're shipping to. They have a multi-standard power supply.

From what I've read, it sounds like north american orders are shipped from San Francisco (or somewhere there on the west coast).

Check their website or forums though.

So the post at http://www.networkedmediatank.com/showth...ight=gbpvr by sub seems to indicate that the PCH NMT will allow the GBPVR screens to show directly on your remote television screen through the PCH NMT. Is that true?

Will that device also allow me to browse the internet and connect to non-shoutcast, not live365 radio broadcasts?

Browse the internet absolutely not, the browser isn't up to it, but you can't browse with PVRx2 either. However there is is the UbuRadio plugin that allows a lot more than shoutcast and live365 and the http streams stored in Net Radio or the Web Radio Plugin don't have to be served by shoutcast servers. The PCH does support both MP3 and AAC+ http streams so it is quite powerful

The only "bug" in the PCH now is Icecast vorbis file don't work and I think I am the only one that has complained.
