For the record, I'm using the old version still, so it's not a PVRX2 problem, specifically.

Are these digital capture device recordings, or analog?

If digital, what mux are you using?

In my case at least, digital - DVB-T.

I'm normally using DVR-MS, but I'm pretty sure that I've also tried TS with the same result...

Can you please reproduce the problem then zip and attach your logs? I need to be sure about the mux and other filters being used at the time. Thanks.

OK, attached.

I just did some more testing - I was wrong - TS Mux doesn't work properly at all - it just gives a second or so of video without sound and then drops back to the main menu - I've attached a log for it as well.

I also tried changing the Mux to the Cyberlink one and that actually worked OK when I did a quick test. I wouldn't expect that changing to the Cyberlink mux would be a solution to my problem however since I get the same fault when watching recordings being done by Web Scheduler Pro that are still in progress.

For the TS Mux problem, do you have this patch applied: http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=2...tcount=90? I suspect it'll correct this issue.

Its unfortunate you've indicated it only occurs with the DVR-MS mux, since that is the mux that I have least control over during playback. Its all pretty much hidden inside the black-box Microsoft supplies, and the bug must be within that somewhere. To work around your Web Scheduler Pro problem, you can of course use the GB-PVR EWA web interface, this way recordings are done with the GB-PVR Recording Service, allowing you to use the Cyberlink/ATI/TS muxes.

No, I don't - I'll give it a try once my wife has finished watching a movie...

Maybe, but the fact that I can use GraphEdit to correctly pause/resume the actual GB-PVR graph and that DNTV Live! is also able to play back the same files as they're being recorded and pause/resume without problems would indicate to me that the problem is actually in GB-PVR...

I'd consider that except for the fact that GB-PVR doesn't (yet?) support multiple recordings running off of a single tuner.

I could perhaps get Web Scheduler Pro to record with TS Mux, but for some reason, Comskip doesn't seem to want to read the TS files it's creating - something to take up with Erik since I believe that it's supposed to be able to read .ts files...

OK, I just tried that patch with some strange results.

I swapped the file over, then ran config to change it to use TS Mux, launched PVRX2 and tried to view Live TV. This time it didn't exit straight back to the menu, but it still had no sound and the video was very glitchy - pausing every second or so. I then exited out, changed it to TS Full with similar results, except that there weren't any glitches. Testing with the Cyberlink mux worked fine. I then went back to try the TS Mux option and it went back to the old problem of no sound and exiting back to the menu. This time however, it seems to exit back to the main menu even quicker than before!
