I had this happen once of twice during testing as well when I upgraded between versions. Turned out the resume table in the database which from memory no longer existed.

Sorry, I still havnt got to it yet. Keeping bumping the thread every few days to remind me, and I'm sure I'll get to sometime very soon. I've been a bit snowed under since coming back to NZ.

Sub:

I have been having issues with the timeline in 1.3.7 as well. The timeline changes SUBSTANTIALLY while scrolling through (fast forwarding or mousing). We are talking 10 minutes or more variation in the end time on a 1-hour show. Not a big deal, except that Comskip seems to have trouble getting the right time as well, and so we typically miss a few to 10 seconds of show before comercial break.

Most of what I watch is from channel 13, and due to other issues I have reverted to the SD TS stream for that channel.

Last night I noticed that a 1/2-hour show on another channel, showing as 1080i, had virtually NO variation (34 minutes end time, includes 2 minutes pre and post pad) during the show, and comskip worked perfect.

SO, perhaps this can clue as to why some are seeing a bigger variation than others. I do not know if this is a channel 13 problem (would not be surprised), or a SD digital problem within GBPVR.

Last night I recorded a 1/2-hour show on the only other channel with SD feed (at least the only other one set up right now), and it was also showing a jumpy timeline. Starts at something like 45 minutes, but gets to 34 by the end. Unfortunately, this also comes form the same physical channel (TS) as channel 13, so not an entirely independent check.

I found that if I mouse to the VERY END, (or within a minute of the end), teh ending timeline is correct, then if I mouse back to the beginning before the show ends and the player closes, the timeline stays constant throughout the show. However, Comskip is off by about a minute on the start times. The one-hour show, when first coming on, shows an end time up to 15 minutes wrong, and continues to jump around until the very end unless I mouse to the end first.

I suspect the same issue that is making your timeline display wrong is confusing Comskip.

Like I noted, the 1080i recordings do not seem to have this problem at all.

I could post some TS samples. However, would you want a whole show with just that show, a portion of a show, a full TS for a protion, or a full TS for a whole show (big)?

Whole 1/2 hour show without full TS is about 700MB
