I have also have the missing guide data problem.

My question is can I upgrade or do I need to do a fresh install? I have seen posts that suggest both. Also which files do I need to protect to save my configuration?

Thanks for all the help!

backup your gbpvr.mdb and then upgrade your version. All releases after v.19 support overinstall.

Is everyone sure that this is a problem with GBPVR and not with Zap2it? I have used the TV guide feature with my current version of GBPVR (.23-if I understand correctly, this version includes the Zap2it bug fix) for quite a while with no problems, and then all of the sudden it stopped working. Does Zap2it change file configurations somehow that adversely affects GBPVR? Or is the bug some problem with GBPVR that only allows TV guide data to be displayed for a certain period of time?

Hello,

I am now experiencing this problem as well.

I am running the version prior to the one that fixed the Zap2it bug.

I didnt think that would be needed for me as I use "xmltv radio times" so I didnt bother with the upgrade.

My system has been disconnected for about a month and when I restarted it last night I upgraded the xml file and got gbpvr to update its epg data.

the data is in the programmes table in the db

but it never shows up in the guide.

from this I guess that there is more to the fix than just something for Zap2it.

40days the guide has a bug that prevents it from showing beyond some date in feb. This is a bug in .23 the latest release has a fix.

Yes. You'll need v0.90.x if you want you guide working again. Sorry.

Hi there

I am in Australia, have installed the current version of GB-PVR, & using XTML, but am having the very same problem as others.

I'm new to this software, & am yet to see it working properly with my card (FusionHDTV DVB-T).

I am hoping to run the signal from this card to my XCard. I recently made the mistake of installing the current drivers for the FusionHDTV (which have a problem), & have since uninstalled, reinstalled, uninstalled & reinstalled all the software needed.

I had the channels listed when the latest FusionHDTV drivers were on my PC, but when I tried to do something, I got an error message aboutrecording source not working (or something like that). I found a possible answer to it in the FAQ, but niether suggestion worked for me.
When I went back to the older drivers, which are working fine with other programs, I then hit the brick wall of the blank TV Guide.

Surely both cards are working with GB-PVR, as I can see my channels during the tuning in confiquration, & I can play DVDs through my XCard with the software?

Huh? When you say "drivers", do you mean "version of GB-PVR"? The blank TV Guide problem was only present on versions of GB-PVR prior to v0.90 (which incidentily did not support DVB-T).

Which BDA card did you select? There isnt a definition for the FushionHDTV in bda.ini.

Either way, email your logs to me at support@devnz.com and I'll take a look.

The drivers I refer to are the ones for the FusionHDTV.

With the BDA settings themselves, the person who recommended the software to me had sent me the info he used to get his setup (also FusionHDTV & Xcard) working, & is apparantly woring fine for him.

Here is the bda.ini addition he added for the FusionHDTV:-

[Dvico Fusion T1]
TUNING_TYPE=DVB-T
FILTER_TUNER=FusionHDTV, BDA DVB-T Tuner/Demod
FILTER_CAPTURE=FusionHDTV, Transport Stream Capture
PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2 Transport

Haven't figured out the logs yet, but will email as soon as I do.
