Ok I understand now. In the config program there is a setting on the MVP tab, to turn off the minimal OSD for the MVP.

OSD Flickering is the number #1 wishlist item that I hope sub can look into changing in the GBPVR server when he has time. http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=42261 The problem is the server sends too many updates for the client to handle in a very short period. He did make a change on the pause key but channel changes and skips still have the issue and sub and I have discussed ways the server could fix this.
From a technical perspective flicker is the wrong term. The real problem is the NMT is not be used optimally and I have to toggle the alpha channel on and off to get the performance that is needed. If you find it annoying the alternative is to try 720p mode where you will find the OSD doesn't flash but it is also duller. mpeg files would play in 720p but mkv, avi's etc would play @ 1080p or your desired resolution. This is not normal, I know of other users with several tuners using GBPVR and their NMT. Compress and upload all your GBPVR logs and I will have a look. Martin |
