OK getting closer.

I followed the above steps. Now when I use the USB key, hit the .html, hit USB I get the GBPVR screen!

Issues though:
  • The UI is only using the upper left part of my screen. I've got the NMT set for 1080p NTSC.
  • LiveTV goes to black then immediately back to the main menu
  • Any recordings (either MPEG2 or TS) go to black, then eventually I get a screensaver come up on the little section where the app normally is
  • It appears that transcoding is happening on the server side? Seems silly considering the NMT can play these files natively.
  • No way to get out of the app (requires a reboot?). This won't fly since we use the NMT for tons of videos.

Logs attached.

I can't answer most of the other questions but I'm sure Martin will be along soon to help you out.

I assume you are using your M34a which is missing some keys, for the NMT's with all the keys the power button should take you back to the NMT screen for the M34a have a look at this message it should get this issue sorted for you.

Your config.xml isn't setup to default to run in PCH2 mode for your MAC address if you want compress and upload your config.xml and I will have a look.

You can play any file that NMT supports (if sub wants to support the extension) directly from the GBPVR menu, including DVD's m2ts file support is coming in 1.4.x

However if you want on most remotes the Power key will take you back and with the EGreat hit the USB eject key twice.

I see another problem you moved the Web server port to 8000. Only the default 7647 is supported.

Config.xml zipped up.

I've got a video library with over 500 items, AVI, DVD ISO, m2ts, mkv, etc...

Most everything here has a Harmony remote, so I can map a button for power or eject or something Smile

Thanks for all the help guys.

I figured it was a problem with the case <MAC-0006dc42cd34> must be upper case.

When you fix that you can change <WebServerPort>8000</WebServerPort>
to 7647

All those file types can be played on your NMT's from the GBPVR menu except m2ts.

Ya, I saw someone with the upper case issue, so I was just testing that.

My kaiboer has a power button. That exited the app, but when I tried to get back in, I got a "mkdir: cannot create direct"

I'm rebooting the NMT now.

OK, now I'm playing video... more issues Smile

- the "mkdir" issue is I'm sure related to the mkdir /etc/mvpmc >/dev/null in usb_a.cgi script. The script should check to see if the dir exists before recreating it
- Overscan city. Lots of overscan. Any way to control that? In the app, not sure about the video.
- Is there any way to fast forward/skip while watching a video? Since it's transcoding, I'm sure no.

Again, thanks for all the help!

Send your logs, if it is transcoding it is not set up right.

I totally agree, the script isn't great, I just wanted to get you going until you figure out how to setup the share properly, I don't even link the bind. Feel free to submit a working one.

I believe you can use a M31b remote with the M34a so if you setup your Harmony to use the M31b keymapping it should give you all the keys.

I used the MVPPosition tool as a guide when I set mine up you can find it here http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Plugi...enPosition you change the size/position under your MAC address in config.xml

Somewhere around is a post with all the keys that are used. For skip PREV NEXT does a big skip & FWD REV does small skips
