Ah, I though your were talking about the preview image moving within each item.

I knew this happened, and was kind of the expected behaviour, but I can change it if it bothers people. Its just happening because it returns the selected index back to the previously selected index, and when you change directories. When it restores this selected index, the visible index set itself to the same index.

I don't understand exactly what you are saying but the way it is now you can't navigate around properly after this condition occurs as the down cursors don't do anything even though the screen shows there are two icons below the one selected but you can up cursor even though the screen shows no icons above the one selected.

@Sub

I hope you are sure about what it is we are reporting, cause it really is a functional thing, not just a preference or cosmetic thing (I'm trying my best to describe this the clearest way possible haha). The navigation makes no sense when this happens. When the selected item is in the left most column, it will actually be off the screen when this happens. The fact that it moves the selected item up to the top left most position is fine and not really an issue (personally I'd rather it stay where it was when it was selected, but that's just my opinion) as long as the navigation functionality is also aware that it has changed position, horizontally and/or vertically, so it navigates in a logical way.

Edit: After reading what you wrote again, I now fully understand what you are saying, and that does make sense. I think the actual problem is unintended, and I'm not sure if you have seen what it is yet. It is the navigation, positioning disconnect I described above. Hope I'm making sense.

Can you see if this fixes it?

This problem did not solve the problem I have with NextPVR crashing in the icon view. Like Jaggy it is easily to reproduce, all I have to do is randomly page up/down and enter/return from folders to crash with a generic Windows error.

95% fixed for me, there is still a problem if I page right to the last item then it has the same problem like before putting it at the top with non showing navigate-able items above & not being able to navigate to showing items below.

Hopefully this will fix that last 5%.

I think mvallevand must be talking about something else, cause this problem has nothing to do with crashing. I'll try out that patch.
