Volume OSD plugin for nPVR

It worked for me with BlueRetroVE+ but you couldn't read the text so I have fixed that with the updated skin in the post linked below

Also did you also copy the common files into plugins\common?

One thing I did notice while doing this is after I installed the VolumeOSD plugin the blue button on my MCE remote stopped bringing up the video OSD, crtl-B still brings it up though??

Update: I'm not sure what has caused the blue button on my remote to stop bringing up the NextPVR OSD but even after removing the volume plugin it is now still not working

Hi

The absence of an inbuilt volume OSD has been an issue with my new install of NPVR 2.0.3.

I've installed McBain's useful plugin but am still without an onscreen display! Surely I have missed something obvious but it looks like I've copied the folders ok.

My MCE remote adjusts the volume fine - just without any OSD.

Any clues please??

Zip and attach your log is the best thing you can do. What skin are you using? Do you get any OSD at all for default things like show details and EPG?

Other OSD's all work fine - I am using the default skin. I just tried with Next Blue and have no OSD there either.

I have attached NPVR logs as requested and also zipped a copy of my config file. Thanks for your offer of assistance, looking forward to hearing from you soon.

It seems to be loaded OK but it's not picking up any volume changes. It reports you're running Windows XP, is that correct?

If you change the master volume from the Windows Sound Mixer is the Volume OSD shown?

No - I'm using Vista Ultimate.

I shall try changing volume from sound mixer and report back.

Not sure where this takes us, but hope you may be able to shed some light.

ps: I'm thinking of using LM Gestion to solve my MCE Remote Green Button problem which launches WMC - it looks like this software also provides a volume OSD. Perhaps not ideal but it might solve my WAF problem!

Are you changing the master volume or the NPVR application volume on the mixer? I've setup Vista Ultimate under a VM and the Volume OSD only shows up if I change the NPVR application volume.

Might need to the add the ability to chose the volume line to use (master or application).
