I have removed the TV Listings and TV Recordings, when i attempt to "man-rec" from the top menu, it doesnt add it to the database, which log file do i need to check? I have no EPG on this system as yet, however about 93 channels.
Many Thanks
Ashley

What do you mean by "basic channels"? I'm assuming you mean regular old analog channels. The HVR2250 definitely does analog. In fact, it does everything the HVR-1250 does, but has two tuners, so can do it twice at the same time.

I dont unstand the exactly what the problem is. If you can reproduce it with the Recordings screen, and post a screenshot of the manual recording settings just before you hit ok, I'll try reproducing the problem here. Also post the npvr.log from after you hit ok.

Is there a browser to find these, the UK had 66, didnt take long to find them, theres 100's here, random hitting channels hoping you find them isnt really something i was planning to do, the QAM had a search, cant find that in the tuner (now i have it in NPVR)...

ideas?
Many Thanks

Assuming you using Rogers cable, as I wrote, you won't get more than one or two usable QAM channels so for now don't bother. You can check silicon dust to see for yourself what others have found http://www.silicondust.com/support/channels/

The analog cables channels will be exactly the same as you get on your PVR 150, so just import the xmltv file you use with it on the analog tuner's.

Not interested in QAM, i'm interested in getting anything / something out of this card, if i plug a tv (a cheap one, that doesnt do QAM) in to this cable, it will get about 100 channels, if i plug in the 2250, i get nothing, either the card is damaged or something isnt working with the "tuner" setup.

How do i plug in to NPVR "cable ch 31" (this is what the TV says the channel is, its very specific, type is cable, channel is 31, theres nothign else i can tune on this, if i touch anything it wizzies off to another "channel" number), how do i get NPVR to get "cable ch 31", ive tried the below screen shot, its not working.

Tuner is : Analog Hauppauge Win TV-7164 Analog Capture, Present:Yes, Enabled:Yes

This assumes NPVR can display an image, which it may not be able to, hence trying to record this channel and play it back on the development PC which i know will decode something if i have a file (however the record system seems to not be working, which i am working on getting log files this weekend).
Many Thanks
Ashley

Is there are full moon? You say you don't want QAM and the screen shot you showed for recordings are QAM. Rather then Fixed channel (which would probably by 3 or 4 on most North American products) I am assuming you should be using the Tuner to see the analog channels the same way your TV does.

The above image is for fixing why the system wont record for testing any of this, if the system will record "any" channel then i can start testing, it found 93 QAM channels, QAM doesnt worry my, however so far from the few $100 i have spent this card hasnt pulled any channels at all in NPVR from a cable that does supply a signal. I am requesting NPVR to record "anything" for 10 mins, at this point its not doing anything other than not recording, once i get a 10 min file (all be it blank) then i can start looking at getting the card to start tunning.

This perticular box wont be used to play the files, instead of spending time getting files to play when the card isnt tuned it, i can have a file i know it recorded and look at this on a different PC i know will play them.

In trying to diagnose getting the card to find a channel i found NPVR wasnt able to record anything as it wasnt taking the record request, i am still at this break point, once i can get a recording then i can look at the tuning problem, thankfully as i type i have some fairly large projects on the go so this is in "low" priority, however is still in the current list "to do" being its had money put in to the project (and 2250 card).
Many Thanks
Ashley

So the easy thing is to start with the analog, that will work until Rogers turns it off and ignore the QAM tuner altogether. Don't forget about firewalls blocking NextPVR and NRecord. In another thread I am sure I told you to open them up for TCP on your Local LAN (and UDP for NextPVR for the MVP)
