I created the mount via telnet and it works. I did an ls and see the files as expected. I hit the Power button on the remote and got back into the NMT interface. The /ottoguy directory didn't show up under the NMT interface that I can find. I tried adding it as a media share url - /ottoguy and it said unknown type. I'm not sure how to get the /ottoguy mount to show up under NMT?
So running it from the telnet sesson works too. I attached the output in case that was helpful in anyway. It has to be something in the share that it doesn't like in the N-PVR.html file.
I attached the startmeup file. I have tried changing the share to the ip address and changing N-PVR.html to match. I also tried commenting out most of the npvr.cgi script in case there was an error in it. I even setup the usb to start telnet only and ran through each command the npvr.cgi script does one by one and each worked without issues. I have been using VI to edit the scripts, hopefully that's compatable and hasn't caused any issues. I'm open to ideas, but otherwise I'll just run off of usb. I also got an HDMI cable and switched to HDMI output.
I think it is an issue with the share. When I commented out all of the npvr.cgi script except for the mount, copy, and start telnet, it still wouldn't do even that.
I can't explain it. Here are some assumptions I am making
- you are setting the Source to mvpmc and getting in that way after unplugging and plugging it in and you aren't using the Network Browser
- you didn't install Jaggy's html files.
- you don't have a hard disk with CSI apps installed
I agree it is odd. It seems to work great doing the steps indiviually, but putting them into the script fails.
I setup a source under Setup -> Network Share-> Name: mvpmc URL: smb://MEDIACENTER-W7/mvpmc username: (none) password: (none) I also setup one using IP address not hostname.
Then I select the media source -> mvpmc -> blue button -> NPVR.html.
I'm not sure what Jaggy's html files are? I used the NMTInstall2.exe file to set things up. I do not have any hard disk attached to the PCH. I'm not sure what you mean by CSI apps.
One odd thing is when I go into Media Sources I see my server listed as "MEDIACENTER-W7:Mediacenter (Unauthorized)" with a little play symbol next to it. This was there before I did any setup on the PCH. I'm guessing it just sees it on the lan.
That would be a WMP UPnP server. I think I might have wasted your time though, going back to the syntax check, the second row should be MEDIACENTER:mvpmc, you might have edited it when you added it.
Try deleting the mvpmc share in the NMT setup and then re-adding it without doing anything else, and then do the unplug thing one last time to humour me.
