See the section in the sticky thread (in my signature) labeled "Analog Devices". Specifically, you'll need to follow the link there to the wiki page which gives another install option, as WinTV7 isn't officially supported with the PVR150.

Hi.
I have still not been able to install NPVR successfully. I have recently updated the old device drivers for my 04 tuner cards with the WinTV 7 installer drivers. (When you run the installer it asks whether you want to install the complete program or only the drivers). Now, under Device Manager in WinXP, the following information is visible for cards drivers : - Hauppauge WinTV PVR PCI II (26xxx) - Driver Provider : Hauppauge Driver Version : 2.0.48.25037 Driver Date : 2/6/2007 Do you think my PVR 150 cards are now up to date with the new drivers from WinTV 7? Do I need to do anything additional please? Thanks.

Yes, the SoftPVR components have been installed as per the instructions above. (The WinTV7 version I downloaded today is 2.5 for which I changed the name in .bat file with same. After running the batch file, installations were successfull as well as other prompts / checks that followed. (screenshots enclosed).
I am also posting the Log file and also the FilterCheck Log. The Filtercheck seems OK; all 04 devices are being detected and listed. Furthermore, I assume that I do not need to add anything to the AnalogDevice.xml as my devices are already listed in the FilterCheck. However, when I click LiveTV, it says "Unable to find available capture device". NPVR is not running at all. Kindly advise. Thanks.

Those logs does not show any attempt to start live tv. Have you updated epg? What if you schedule a recording? What epg source are you using?

In those logs, it shows your trying to view channel "ARY" that isn't associated with any of the three capture sources in your machine. After finding no device that can supply this channel, it returns the "Unable to find available capture device".
ie, this doesnt sounds like a problem with starting your devices or anything like that, but rather an issue with your channel setup. I'd suggest maybe starting with a clean database and setting up the channels again. To do this, just run "nextpvr.exe -emptydb"

Thanks for the help.
Before erasing the channels information, I would like to briefly mention the method by which I mapped my channels in NPVR for your review. Since we do not have an actual EPG in my region, years back when I installed GBPVR, I manually created an .xml file containing my channels and then linked my 04 tuner devices with it and automatically imported the channels. After that, I ran the Tuning Assistant and mentioned each channel frequency manually in channel list of each device. The channels were thus mapped perfectly and I have been using it since quite a few years now on GBPVR. When I installed NPVR, I linked the devices to the same .xml file and mapped / imported the channels automatically like before. Kindly advise if you can spot some mistake and diagnose the problem. Regards. (p.s. I am attaching this .xml document (my EPG) for your perusal. I have changed the extension to .txt to post. Also attached are 2 NPVR screenshots from 'Devices' and 'Channels' tabs in Settings).

Just a guess but it seems having capture source #4 enabled when it doesn't have any channels mapped is going to cause problems in general.
Also for Live TV, gb-pvr used to use the lowest tuner in the list and work up - I can't help feeling npvr starts at the top and works down which is why the 'Use reverse priority for Live TV' option is there to make it behave like gb-pvr. I may be wrong though. Cheers, Brian

If you zip and attach your npvr.db3, I can check.
