Hauppauge Remote - Number Keys Not Working

I'm at work so I can't play around with the setup

I may try uninstalling GBPVR and the weather module...then reinstalling. Perhaps that will work.

Let me know if you fix the problem. If you fix yours it may help me fix my channel up down issue.

Hey Darx-Starz, thanks for sending me this info. This is what mine says too, under the [GB-PVR] section of the INI file, at least for the numbers entries (i.e., 1=1, 2=2, etc). (Although, I'll use it to compare the rest of the GBPVR section to my IRRemote.ini file).

Could you send me what your INI file looks like under the [DEFAULT] section? I'm curious if they are different.

I use the Windows MCE remote... the numbers no longer show up in the lower left corner for me either. If I hit '3','1','enter', to change to channel thirtyone, GB changes my DISH box to some unknown, unsubscribed channel (I can't tell what channel it changes it to or I could troubleshoot further).

Channel up/down on the remote works fine. The number buttons used to work fine in 908. I'm currently using 9105.

Ah..another remote control issue. Are there others having issues? Please share your issue and especially the solutions if you figured out how to fix your remote control problems. It could help the rest of us who are still perplexed!

I'm using an MVP and the number keys don't work either. Not sure when it started since I don't use them much, I typically use the channel up/down which still does work. I also had to reinstall the weather plugin after upgrading to the current gbpvr version yesterday. Not a biggy, overall everything is rockin!

If you press 'OK' after typing the numbers, does it change channels?

Sub (and others), I was incorrect on my previous statment. While watching live TV, if I press "2,3,OK", on my 45 button Hauppauge remote, it WILL change the channel. I also checked my config.xml, and the following setting IS in place, but I still have to hit the OK button:

<ChannelChangeWithoutEnterKey>true</ChannelChangeWithoutEnterKey>

However, the number area in the lower left-hand corner still does NOT appear.

Any suggestion on how to get the number area to show up or how to get the channel to change Without the Enter (OK) key?

Also, I checked WinTV2000, and if I press the number buttons on the remote, it will display the numbers on the screen as I press them (like GB-PVR used to do).

Are you running v91.5 or v91.8?
